New guidelines on ethical procurement for the health sector
New guidelines on ethical procurement for the health sector
Tuesday, May 24, 2011
ETI and the British Medical Association has recently launched The Ethical procurement for health, a workbook which helps procurers in the health and social care sector.
The book covers labour standards throughout the procurement and market engagement processes. It aims to build awareness and understanding of labour standards in supply chains among procurers so that labour standards concerns can be identified early and addressed proactively and constructively.
The workbook and material provides a model, the flexible framework, against which organisations can benchmark their practices and identify actions that will make these practices more effective in driving improvement and mitigating risks. It provides guidance, templates, tools and case examples to support the development of robust management processes to address labour standards.
