Education
One of the assignments of MSR – Swedish Environment Management Council – is to increase the green public procurement (GPP). Therefore one of the key areas for MSR, is to spread the knowledge about how to best use green criteria in public procurement. This is done in two ways:
- Traditional class, with lectures and a concluding work shop
- Online course, for anyone interested in GPP, to take at anytime on the MSR homepage
Education on the Internet
Introduction course – work with GPP
The introduction course gives basic knowledge of several subjects, from how to use green criteria to brief information on LCC (life cycle cost). The course takes about an hour. At the end of the course, there is an opportunity to take a test. With a certain number of correct answers, a diploma can be printed.
This course is only available in Swedish.
Climate-efficient procurement
A first step towards climate-efficient procurement is taken. MSR offers an online course on how increase energy efficiency/climate-efficiency in procurement. Apart from a couple of short examples on climate-efficiency in procurement, it also gives a few examples on how to use LCC (life cycle cost). To be able calculate the actual cost of products during time of use, will hopefully give a good opportunity for more investments in the green sector.
