Procurement for a non-toxic environment
MSR is working with a variety of efforts for a Non-Toxic Environment:
- Strategically by establishing a comprehensive chemicals policy and strategy.
- In every-day work when developing purchasing criteria where concrete phase-out requirements are part of the criteria.
- To encourage environmental innovation in the chemicals sector, MSR works with spear-head criteria and with the National substitution group within the County Councils.
We currently have requirements for phasing out and reducing hazardous chemicals in the following product areas:
- Batteries
- Tires
- IT products
- Chemical-technical products
- Food
- Packaging
- Medical equipment with consumables
- Furniture
- Paper products
- Healthcare supplies
- Textiles and leather
- Laundry and textile service
- Outdoor lighting
- Building materials
- Professional kitchen appliances
