Procurement for a non-toxic environment

MSR is working with a variety of efforts for a Non-Toxic Environment:

  • Strategically by establishing a comprehensive chemicals policy and strategy.
  • In every-day work when developing purchasing criteria where concrete phase-out requirements are part of the criteria.
  • To encourage environmental innovation in the chemicals sector, MSR works with spear-head criteria and with the National substitution group within the County Councils.

We currently have requirements for phasing out and reducing hazardous chemicals in the following product areas:

  • Batteries
  • Tires
  • IT products
  • Chemical-technical products
  • Food
  • Packaging
  • Medical equipment with consumables
  • Furniture
  • Paper products
  • Healthcare supplies
  • Textiles and leather
  • Laundry and textile service
  • Outdoor lighting
  • Building materials
  • Professional kitchen appliances
