• SEMCo helps to reduce environmental impact in society by providing support in the work on sustainable procurement through the tools EMAS, EPD® and SEMCo's procurement criteria.
• SEMCo's activities should be a top level support for sustainable procurement to professional purchasers with a focus on relevance, scientific foundation, holistic approach, collaboration, user friendliness and environmental technology development and innovation. 
• SEMCo contributes to EMAS being generally recognised as the most complete system for environmental management.
• SEMCo aims for the International EPD® system to be the most recognized and used tool in the world for the development of PCR, environment and climate declarations.
• SEMCo will be an international and reputable player in sustainable procurement.
• SEMCo will be an evolving and learning organisation with thriving employees.
